چکیده

The low power manipulation of magnetization is currently a highly sought-after objective in spintronics. Non ferromagnetic large spin-orbit coupling heavy metal (NM) / ferromagnet (FM) heterostructures offer interesting elements response to this issue, by granting the FM NM spin Hall effect (SHE) generated current. Additional functionalities, such as electric field control current generation, can be offered using multifunctional ferromagnets. We have studied transfer processes between Pt and magnetoelectric Ga0.6Fe1.4O3 (GFO). In particular, via angular dependent magnetotransport measurements, we were able differentiate magnetic proximity (MPE)-induced anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) (SMR). Our analysis shows that SMR dominant phenomenon at all temperatures only one considered near room temperature, with magnitude comparable those observed Pd/YIG or Pt/YIG heterostructures. These results indicate GFO thin films show promises for achieving an electric-field generation NM/FM oxide-based

Magnetoelectric interfaces and spin transport.

Engineered heterostructures designed for electric control of magnetic properties, the so-called magnetoelectric interfaces, present a novel route towards using the spin degree of freedom in electronic devices. Here, we review how a subset of such interfaces, namely ferromagnet-ferroelectric heterostructures, display electronically mediated control of magnetism and, in particular, emphasis is pl...

Magnetoelectric effects and valley-controlled spin quantum gates in transition metal dichalcogenide bilayers.

In monolayer group-VI transition metal dichalcogenides, charge carriers have spin and valley degrees of freedom, both associated with magnetic moments. On the other hand, the layer degree of freedom in multilayers is associated with electrical polarization. Here we show that transition metal dichalcogenide bilayers offer an unprecedented platform to realize a strong coupling between the spin, v...

Spin-Swapping Transport and Torques in Ultrathin Magnetic Bilayers.

Planar spin transport in disordered ultrathin magnetic bilayers comprising a ferromagnet and a normal metal (typically used for spin pumping, spin Seebeck and spin-orbit torque experiments) is investigated theoretically. Using a tight-binding model that puts the extrinsic spin Hall effect and spin swapping on equal footing, we show that the nature of spin-orbit coupled transport dramatically de...

Magnetoelectric Current Sensors

In this work a magnetoelectric (ME) current sensor design based on a magnetoelectric effect is presented and discussed. The resonant and non-resonant type of ME current sensors are considered. Theoretical calculations of the ME current sensors by the equivalent circuit method were conducted. The application of different sensors using the new effects, for example, the ME effect, is made possible...
